A Derivative Analyst specializes in analyzing and evaluating derivative instruments such as options, futures, and swaps. They assess market trends, conduct risk assessments, and develop trading strategies using derivatives to hedge against or speculate on price movements. Their work involves complex financial modelling, quantitative analysis, and providing recommendations on derivative positions.

Must Have

  • A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field
  • NISM-Series-XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination
  • Specialized certification on derivatives

  • Reading habit – should have knowledge of best-selling books on derivatives
  • MBA/PGDBM Finance
  • Experience with derivatives trading platforms
